The LGBTQ community despite, doing positive works and activism in society, is often misunderstood and discriminated in society. Regardless of many laws passed, they are neglected and under-respected. In contrary to it, there come many aspects that the community can learn from them.
So,
recognizing the need to make them feel welcomed and valued in society, Faith
Cheltenham, one of the activists, came forward to uplift the bisexual,
pansexual, & fluid communities in America. Cheltenham demonstrates that
without neglecting them irrespective of gender identity, the LGBTQ community
gives a lesson to society.
Cheltenham
illustrates that the first thing society can learn from the LGBTQ community is
unity. The community stands unitedly in the nation to fight for their
fundamental rights. It is the most incredible thing that society can learn from
them to stand on the whole to fight for their rights to support each other.
Along
with it, Cheltenham states that you can learn the act of courageousness from
them. How do they come out being different from others in society? There lies a
stigma in the culture opening up about gender identity. So, the LGBTQ community
shows their action of courageousness how they open up and stand out to achieve
equality in society.
Cheltenham
states that you can find that the LGBTQ community has to go through various
societal stereotypes. Thus, facing the challenges, they stand up for their
rights. They fight for it, and it helps them to break the stereotypes that
exist in culture. So, learning from the community, society needs to break the
stereotypes that exist in the culture. They can learn to adapt better things.
Not
only this, but to create awareness in the society, Cheltenham as a social
activistin the year 1999, spoke at San Diego Comic-Con, the National Gay &
Lesbian Task Force, Creating Change Conference, UCLA, Yale University.
Cheltenham, irrespective of gender identity, worked on the ground basis to
create job opportunities for the LGBTQ community. Along with it, Cheltenham
worked to provide financial assistance to the groups.
On
the Final Note, Faith Cheltenham, an activist, inspires
thousands of people in society to learn a lesson from the LGBTQ community. Cheltenham
influences the people to understand the community well, as they also have equal
rights to live freely in society. Despite all, society should learn activism
and empathy from the LGBTQ community to stand and come forward to fight for
their rights.
